Fair response to the O-III & UHC filters. No response to the H-B filter. Higher powers gave a worse image. This is a low power PN. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart. This PN must have a relatively bright central star.
M 3-2, RA 07,14.8 DEC -27,50 MAG 15.7 CSM 21.1 SIZE 12"x7" on 04/07/96. At 254X, it was extremely faint requiring the UHC filter and averted vision. Response to the O-III filter is less than the response to the UHC filter and there is no response to the H-B filter. Ns 238, RA 08,20.9 DEC -36,14 MAG 11.5 CSM 10.5b SIZE 56" on 03/21/96. I think I found it but I am not completely sure. If you look at the SEC finderchart on page 221 you will see a large blob which is easily visible and there is a small faint blob just SE of the big blob. If Ns 238 is the large blob then we have an identification error because on chart 363 of URA it is listed as NGC 2579. Part II of the SEC page 509 doesn't say anything about it being next to the nebula NGC 2579 but it does say Ns 238 is 56" in diameter which matches the large blob. NGC 2000.0 has NGC 2579 listed as a cluster and a nebula. Anyway the large blob responds very well to the O-III filter. I could not see the smaller blob to the SE just next to the large blob.
SaSt 1-1, RA 08,31.7 DEC -27,46 MAG ? CSM 13.0b SIZE stellar, on 04/26/97. Tried to find this PN but had no luck. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart, even though the finderchart has no tick marks to identify where the PN is.
Abell 30, RA 08,46.9 DEC +17,53 MAG 13.0 CSM 14.4 SIZE 127" on 04/21/98. Tried to find this PN but had no luck. No SEC finderchart to identify it with.

No response to the UHC and H-B filters. I identified the central region in the SEC finderchart. I was fooled when trying to find it because it is just north of two widely spaced stars and there are two sets of widely spaced stars in the general area.
CTIO 1230-275, RA 12,33.2 DEC -27,49 MAG 17.1 CSM 16.8 SIZE 7" on 05/24/98. At 254X could see a faint star where the SEC finderchart said it should be but got no affect from any filter. Could be that the central star overwhelms the nebula.

Th 3-27, RA 17,36.0 DEC -24,26 MAG 15.8 CSM ? Size 10" on 08/16/96. At 134X, extremely faint, very unsteady, small fuzzy disk, requiring the O-III filter and averted vision. Fair response to the O-III & UHC filters. No response to the H-B filter. Image is not much improved at 169X or 254X. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart. This is a first known visual sighting.
Al 2-1, RA 17,36.2 DEC -28,01 MAG ? CSM ? SIZE stellar, on 07/25/97. Tried to find this PN but had no luck. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart.
M 3-12, RA 17,36.4 DEC -21,31 MAG 14.8 CSM ? SIZE 7"x5" on 07/07/97. At 134X, stellar, requiring the O-III filter and averted vision. Good response to the O-III & UHC filters. No response to the H-B filter. At 169X, there is a hint of the PN with averted vision alone. At 254X, can see the PN with averted vision alone but required the UHC filter to identify it as a PN. There is a faint star next to the PN. There is a neat circle of stars in the field of the PN. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart. The circle of faint stars shows up in the SEC finderchart.
PBOZ 24, RA 17,37.9 DEC -25,21 MAG ? CSM ? SIZE stellar, on 07/25/97. Tried to find this PN but had no luck. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart.
Th 3-35, RA 17,38.7 DEC -28,43 MAG ? CSM ? SIZE stellar, on 07/27/97. Tried to find this PN but had no luck. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart.

H 2-16, RA 17,39.9 DEC -21,14 MAG 15.4 CSM ? SIZE 17" on 07/27/97. At 134X, 169X & 254X, faint fuzzy disk requiring the O-III filter and averted vision. Good response to the O-III & UHC filters. No response to the H-B filter. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart.
H 2-17, RA 17,40.1 DEC -24,26 MAG ? CSM >21.0p SIZE 3" on 07/27/97. Tried to find this PN but had no luck.
H 1-27, RA 17,40.3 DEC -22,19 MAG 15.6 CSM ? SIZE 7"x4" on 07/27/97. At 134X, stellar, requiring the O-III filter and averted vision. Good response to the O-III & UHC filters. No response to the H-B filter. At 169X, it looks like a hint of the PN can be seen with averted vision alone. At 254X, could definitely see the PN as a faint star with averted vision alone but required the UHC filter to identify it as the PN. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart.
He 2-262, RA 17,40.3 DEC -26,44 MAG ? CSM ? SIZE 4" on 07/30/97. Tried to find this PN but had no luck. Identified the field in the SEC finderchart.
