18 01.7 -28 26
17.5: at 105x appears as mag 12.5-13.0 stellar object.  Verified with OIII
blinking and exhibits a sharp impressive contrast gain.

17.5: at 220x without filter appears as a very faint, stellar object,
estimate V = 14.2-14.8.  Good contrast gain with UHC filiter, seeing to
poor to resolve disc with certainty if ¾5".  Probable 1st visual sighting
6/20/87.

M2_24, RA 18,02.0 DEC -34,28 MAG 14.7 CSM ? SIZE 11"x4" on 05/24/98. At 134X & 169X, stellar, requiring the O-III filter and averted vision. Good response to the 0III & UHC filters. No response to the H-B filter. At 254X, could see the PN with averted vision alone as a very faint, very small blob, requiring the O-III filter to identify it as a PN. 17.5: not seen unfiltered at 220x.  With an OIII filter, an extremely faint
disc about 5" diameter is visible almost continuously with averted vision.
Estimate mag 15.0-15.5.  Forms a right angle with a mag 10 star 4' SW and a
mag 10.5 star 2.8' SE.  Located in a rich star field.  Several faint stars
are visible without a filte within 1' of the planetary.

17.5: at 225x appears as a mag 12.5 "star" located 1.4' N of mag 9 SAO
209629.  Excellent contrast gain with an OIII filter and appears brighter

17.5: picked up at 225x using an OIII filter about 45" NE of a mag 11 star.
This star forms the SE vertex of a kite asterism with three stars mag 11-12
about 3' NW.  Very difficult to view without filter even when exact
position known.  Estimate V = 15.2.  Probably stellar but too faint to be
