In early December 1998, Rich transmitted to me a new series of planetary nebulae sketches. This latest group of sketches by Rich feature a number of Winter (n.h.)/Summer (s.h.) planetaries and how they appear through the eyepiece of a 20" f/4.5 reflector. As on the previous pages, Rich's keen eye and skill in translating to paper these visions that ascend nightly for our wonder are readily apparent in these marvelously detailed sketches. The eight sketches feature planetaries in the constellations Lepus, Orion, Gemini, Puppis, Hydra, andd Carina.
