The Astronomical Sketches
of Michael Büchner
Michael,
an amateur astronomer living in Kalchreuth, Germany (a small town near the Bavarian city
of Nurnberg), has also graciously contributed a good number of his finely detailed and
remarkable sketches that he has made of various planetary nebulae. Many more of his
sketches of deep-sky objects can be found on the web site of his astronomy club, along
with sketches from other members, and the resources of his club, Sternfreunde Franken
e.V.
This page has sketches of the following planetaries, many of them quite difficult to
observe visually:
